PLIPLI LTD – AUCTION TERMS & CONDITIONS (BUYERS)

These Terms apply to all purchases made through Plipli Auction Website.

  1. INTERPRETATION

“Plipli” means Plipli Ltd.

“Auction” means any online auction conducted on the Website.
“Bidder” means any person placing a bid.
“Buyer” means the highest accepted bidder at auction close.
“Seller” means either Plipli Ltd or a third-party consignor.
“Lot” means any item listed for sale.
“Hammer Price” means the final accepted bid.
“Buyer’s Premium” means 20% of the Hammer Price.
“Contract” means the legally binding agreement formed at auction close.

  1. ROLE OF PLIPLI

2.1 Plipli acts:

  • As agent for third-party sellers, and/or 
  • As principal seller for its own stock. 

2.2 Where Plipli acts as agent, the Contract is between Buyer and Seller.
2.3 Plipli is not responsible for seller conduct, but manages the transaction and platform.

  1. AUCTION PROCESS

3.1 All auctions are online only.
3.2 No public viewing is offered as standard.
3.3 Listings include photos, videos, and descriptions to represent each Lot.

3.4 Plipli may:

  • Refuse bids 
  • Remove listings 
  • Suspend users 
  • Amend listings prior to sale 

3.5 Auction Completion
The Contract is formed when:

  • The auction ends, and 
  • The highest bid is accepted. 

3.6 No Withdrawal
All bids are binding. You cannot retract once placed.

  1. PRICING & FEES

The Buyer agrees to pay:

  • Hammer Price 
    • 20% Buyer’s Premium 
    • 20% VAT on premium and applicable items 
    • Delivery charges (if applicable) 

4.1 No payment processing fees are charged to buyers.

  1. PAYMENT TERMS

5.1 Payment is due same day as auction close.

5.2 Accepted methods:

  • Card 
  • Bank transfer 
  • Stripe 
  • PayPal (Goods & Services only) 

5.3 Goods will not be released until full cleared payment is received.

5.4 Failure to pay results in:

  • Contract breach 
  • Default fees (see Section 13) 
  1. DELIVERY

6.1 Plipli arranges delivery for all posted items.
6.2 Delivery is UK only.

6.3 If delivery fails due to buyer:

  • Redelivery fee = original delivery charge 
  • Storage fees apply 

6.4 Risk passes:

  • On delivery attempt 
  • Or confirmed delivery location 
  1. COLLECTION

7.1 Collection is available from:
73 Church Street, Hartlepool, TS24 7DN

7.2 Collection window:

  • Within 2 working days of payment 
  • During agreed times only 

7.3 Missed collection:

  • £7.50 admin fee 
    • daily storage fees 
  1. STORAGE FEES

8.1 Storage charged at:

  • £1 per day (minimum) 
    • £1 per 0.5kg increment 

8.2 Applies to:

  • Late collection 
  • Failed delivery 
  • Unpaid Lots 
  1. CONDITION OF GOODS

9.1 All Lots are sold:

  • As seen 
  • As listed 
  • Without warranty unless stated 

9.2 Condition categories may include:

  • Untested 
  • Powers on 
  • Working 
  • New/Sealed 

9.3 Plipli does not guarantee:

  • Function 
  • Cleanliness 
  • Suitability for use 

9.4 Buyers are responsible for:

  • Inspection of listing 
  • Assessing risk before bidding 
  1. PRODUCT CATEGORY RULES (TATTOO INDUSTRY)

Plipli enforces strict listing controls:

Allowed (conditions apply):

  • Used tattoo machines (sold as seen) 
  • Power supplies 
  • Furniture 

New Only:

  • Autoclaves 
  • Piercing equipment 
  • Laser/aesthetic equipment 

Restricted (must be new/unopened):

  • Needles 
  • Inks (in date and compliant) 
  • Numbing products 

Not Allowed:

  • Opened consumables 
  • Medical-grade devices 

Hygiene-sensitive items:

  • Sold as seen 
  • Buyer assumes full responsibility 

Age-restricted items:

  • ID required before release 
  1. NO WARRANTY / LIABILITY

11.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Plipli provides no guarantees regarding:

  • Functionality 
  • Condition 
  • Longevity 
  • Suitability 

11.2 Buyers accept all risk when bidding.

11.3 Nothing excludes liability for:

  • Fraud 
  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence 
  1. CONSUMER RIGHTS

12.1 Public auction exemption applies.

12.2 Buyers acknowledge:

  • No automatic right to cancel 
  • No returns unless legally required 

12.3 If a Lot is:

  • Misdescribed 
  • Or materially not as listed 

Plipli may, at its discretion:

  • Offer refund 
  • Offer resolution 
  1. BUYER DEFAULT

If a Buyer fails to pay, collect, or accept delivery:

13.1 Plipli may:

  • Cancel the Contract 
  • Relist the Lot 
  • Suspend or ban the account 

13.2 Default Fee:

  • 75% of total purchase value 

13.3 Additional charges:

  • Storage 
  • Admin fees 
  • Loss on resale 

13.4 Plipli may recover losses through:

  • Legal action 
  • Debt recovery 
  1. RISK & TITLE

14.1 Title passes only when:

  • Payment is received in full 

14.2 Risk passes:

  • On delivery or attempted delivery 
  • Or collection 
  1. ACCOUNT & PLATFORM CONTROL

Plipli reserves the right to:

  • Suspend accounts 
  • Refuse bids 
  • Cancel transactions 
  • Restrict access 
  1. DATA & PRIVACY

All personal data is handled in accordance with Plipli’s Privacy Policy (available on the Website).

  1. FORCE MAJEURE

Plipli is not liable for delays caused by:

  • Courier issues 
  • System outages 
  • External events beyond control 
  1. GENERAL

18.1 These Terms are governed by English law.
18.2 Disputes are subject to English courts.

18.3 If any clause is invalid, the remainder remains enforceable.
